In a world where we've eliminated lead from everyday items like pencils and paint, it’s alarming that lead is still used in fishing weights. Each year, over 10 million pounds of lead enter U.S. waterways due to lost or discarded fishing weights. All of this lead contributes to significant environmental pollution and poisons our fish, birds, and other wildlife.
At Rockssox, we couldn’t ignore this issue and created eco-friendly fishing weights made from non-toxic materials like cotton and wood. Our mission is to provide anglers with a sustainable alternative that performs just as well as traditional lead weights. We hope to raise awareness about the environmental impact of lead in fishing.
